Let us all be reminded that our salvation has nothing to do with us, but God.

‎"Yet I know it wasn’t my own effort or “self-realization” that has brought me back. It was Christ Himself, being faithful to me even when I am never faithful to Him"..

True! That's what is so amazing about God. Even when we don't deserve it, he still blesses us. Now the question is how do we respond to such kindness? Do we feel guilty thus resulting to acts of righteousness?   Guilt should not be the reason behind turning our backs on ungodly things, rather it is because of the awareness and deep gratitude of God's grace that we are able to overcome these things.

Nobody ever promised us that once we accept Christ in our lives that we would never sin again. But, this is where many Christians including myself, become complacent. Knowing that we have a forgiving God, many resort to compromising with Him and bending the truth to cater to our very own stubbornness.

In today's Sunday service, Pastor Dawny shared that when grace becomes permission for us to do wrong, than this is not grace at all. I would like to quote him when he said "We are saved by grace so we could understand His justice, greatness, and kindness, to say no to things that are ungodly in our lives."

On a more personal note, let us not sugarcoat our thoughts, words, or acts of disobedience. Let us all be reminded that our salvation has nothing to do with us, but God. The way we live our lives is a form of witnessing God's greatness, grace, and love.
